There where talks of Facebook and Google wanting to purchase Skype, the leading internet communications company, but to a surprise, Microsoft has won the bid purchasing Skype for $8.5 billion. What this means? What was once a free service could very well turn into a pay for service to avoid a $6.9 million net loss as it did in 2010 and in hopes to return on their investment as quickly as possible. Only time will tell.
